Transaction Overview
The Transactions page is your central hub for viewing and managing all imported transactions. It shows a filterable, sortable table with key stats at the top.
Stats Bar
At the top of the page, you'll see summary statistics for the current filter:
- Total Income: Sum of all positive transactions
- Total Expenses: Sum of all negative transactions
- Transaction Count: Number of transactions matching your filters
Filtering Transactions
Use the filter bar to narrow down your transactions:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Search | Search by merchant name |
| Category | Filter by category or subcategory |
| Source | Filter by financial source |
| Type | Income only, expenses only, or both |
| Status | Confirmed, flagged, or pending review |
| Date range | Custom start and end dates |
| Recurring | Show only recurring transactions |
| Own transfers | Include or exclude own-account transfers |
Filters can be combined. The stats bar updates to reflect the filtered results.
Sorting
Click any column header to sort:
- Date (default, newest first)
- Amount (highest or lowest first)
- Merchant (alphabetical)
Click again to reverse the sort direction.
Editing Transactions
Inline Editing
Click on a transaction's category to change it directly in the table. Select a new category and optionally a subcategory from the dropdown.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple transactions using the checkboxes, then:
- Bulk update category: Change the category for all selected transactions at once
- Bulk delete: Remove selected transactions permanently
Pagination
Transactions are paginated for performance. Use the navigation controls at the bottom to move between pages.
Linking Transfers
If a transaction looks like an own-account transfer (e.g., money moved between your accounts), you can link it to its counterpart:
- Click the Link Transfer button on the transaction
- Search for the matching transaction (same amount, opposite direction, different source)
- Confirm the link
Linked transfers are excluded from spending calculations by default. See Own-Account Transfers for details.
