What Is a Sankey Diagram?
Pro and Expert plan feature
A Sankey diagram visualizes the flow of money through your finances. It shows how income flows into expense categories and subcategories, with the width of each flow proportional to the amount.
Reading the Diagram
The diagram flows from left to right:
- Left side: Income sources (salary, freelance, etc.)
- Middle: Top-level expense categories (Housing, Food, Transport, etc.)
- Right side: Subcategories (Rent, Groceries, Gas, etc.)
Wider flows represent larger amounts. Hover over any flow to see the exact amount.
Filters
Customize your Sankey view with filters:
- Date range: Select a month, quarter, year, or custom range
- Source: Filter by specific financial source
- Minimum amount: Hide small flows below a threshold
- Include own transfers: Toggle whether own-account transfers appear
